Abstract
In summary the conclusions of this study are that pyrazinamide is an important drug
in short course chemotherapy; cthambutol is a poor substitute for pyrazinamide, the fully
intermittent regimen is very promising and it avoids much of the immunological toxicity
of intermittent rifampicin. Finally the 8 moth regimens studied are very likely to prove
more effective than the 6-month regimens.
